OkouvsViktor

Okou vs Viktor

Both put an AI agent in Slack that finishes real work instead of answering questions. Viktor is deliberately one hire the whole workspace shares. Okou is a place to build several agents, each with its own instructions, access and model.

Pick Viktor if

You want the widest tool reach available, you want it in Microsoft Teams as well as Slack, and your security review wants certifications on the table today. Viktor is SOC 2 Type 1 and CASA Tier 3 certified and listed in the Slack App Directory.

Pick Okou if

One shared persona is not enough: you want separate agents for separate jobs, each with its own instructions, tone and connector grants. You also want to choose the model behind the work, and to grant a connector permission that expires in an hour rather than standing forever.

Where the two actually differ

Both run in the cloud, keep working after you close your laptop, schedule recurring jobs, keep credentials away from the model, and pause sensitive actions for approval. None of those is a point of difference, so none of them is a row.

What you are actually choosing between

01

Several agents, not one hire

Viktor's own pricing page calls it one AI employee your whole team shares, and its product page is explicit that there is no agent configuration. That is a real design choice and it keeps setup short. Okou goes the other way: seven shared agents on every plan, each with its own description, tone and connector grants, so a marketing agent and a finance agent are different things with different access.

02

You choose the model

Viktor does not publish which model answers you or offer a way to change it. In Okou the model sits on the chat thread, with a member default and a workspace default an admin sets, across the Claude, GPT and DeepSeek families. On a paid plan a member can route a model through their own Claude or Codex subscription instead of ours.

03

A grant that expires

Both products keep credentials away from the model, and both pause sensitive actions. What differs is the shape of a grant. Viktor gives admins revocation after the fact: disconnect the integration, pause the user, kill the task. Okou grants access per agent, per connector and per named action, and lets you set it to lapse after an hour, a day or a week, so a one-off job does not leave standing access behind it.

Where Viktor is the better tool

Tool coverage is wider
3,200+ tools against our 1,400+, and Viktor brokers most of the long tail through managed connectors. For a mainstream stack both reach what you need; for a niche system, check Viktor first.
Compliance is further along than ours
SOC 2 Type 1 and CASA Tier 3 certified today, GDPR aligned, CCPA compliant, SAML SSO across the major identity providers, EU data residency on Enterprise contracts, and a vetted Slack App Directory listing. Our SOC 2 Type II is still in progress. If the security review is the gate, Viktor clears more of it right now.
Microsoft Teams is live today
If your team works in Teams rather than Slack, that difference matters more than any row in the table above.
Nothing is locked behind a tier
Viktor's free plan carries every feature and every integration, and the paid plan only adds credits. Our Free plan includes three models rather than the full catalogue.
Workspace skills already compound
Viktor accumulates what it learns at workspace level, so the argument that only a platform builds shared assets does not hold against it.

What each one bills for

Both meter usage in credits shared across the workspace rather than charging per seat, so the question is what a credit buys and what happens when the pool runs out.

Concurrency scales with the plan: 1, 2 and 10 simultaneous runs. Every plan, Free included, allows 7 org-shared agents and unlimited private ones. Auto-recharge buys credits when the balance falls below a threshold, so a scheduled job does not stall overnight.

Free credits never expire and the free plan carries every feature and integration. Enterprise adds per-user spend caps, volume credit pricing and invoicing. Viktor does not publish a dollar rate per credit.

Okou vs Viktor FAQ

Is Okou a drop-in replacement for Viktor?

For Slack work, largely yes: you mention the agent, it does the job, it posts the result in the thread. Two things to check first. Viktor reaches 3,200+ tools against Okou's 1,400+, so confirm the niche systems you depend on are covered, and Viktor supports Microsoft Teams today.

Does either one let the AI see my access tokens?

No, and this is not a difference between them. Viktor's security page says tokens are injected at execution time by its tool gateway and the model never sees them. Okou injects credentials at the network layer for the same reason. What differs is granularity: Okou grants access per agent, per connector and per named action, with an optional expiry.

Which model does each one use?

Viktor does not publish it. Okou puts a model picker on the chat thread across the Claude, GPT and DeepSeek families, with Claude Sonnet 4.6 as the default most agents run on. Free includes three models; paid plans open the full list and allow routing through your own Claude or Codex subscription.

Can either run work on a schedule?

Both can, and both keep running after you close your laptop. This is not a difference between them.

Which is cheaper?

Neither charges per seat. Viktor's paid tier is $100 a month for 40,000 credits; Okou's Pro is $20 for 20,000 and Team is $200 for 120,000. The credits are not the same unit and cannot be compared directly, so price a real workload on each. Okou publishes $1 per 1,000 credits for top-ups; Viktor does not publish a rate per credit. Viktor's unused credits roll over for a month.

Also compare Okou with Lindy, Claude Tag, Claude Cowork and ChatGPT Work and Codex.

Run both on the same job

Pick a task your team actually repeats, give it to each agent, and compare what comes back.
